A family friend, Melissa, her 3 kids (ages 4yr, almost 3yr, and 6 months), and her sister stayed with the boys while Jared and I went to Grandpa's funeral. We left around 9:00. The boys were very excited about the kids coming over. The cemetery was closed so there was also a military service held at the church. We got back home around 2:30.The kids sure had a lot of fun. We went to Mom's house this evening. She played the interview videos that she'd taken of Grandpa. We ate pizza for dinner. The boys had a great time playing with Kenzie. They fell asleep on the drive home.

I spent much of the morning cleaning. Jared got an early flight home for Grandpa's funeral. His first flight was delayed making him miss his second flight. His next flight was also delayed. He made it home around 1pm. The boys were excited to see Daddy. He'd bought them each a lego police car which they enjoyed playing with. We spent the evening at Grandpa's funeral showing. It was just before 10:00 when we got home.

Adam kept coughing as I took their picture.
Being silly for the camera.
I got up at 6am to exercise. Got to talk with Jared for a little while. Jacob and Adam were up around 7:45. After getting ready for the day we went outside to take care of the animals. The boys enjoy feeding the cats. Jacob always carries some hay to the goats with me. Well, this morning we found that Lockjaw (our goat) had died. The boys kept saying, "That’s so sad. I’m gonna miss her.” Jacob said, “I think her’s in heaven.” Adam said, "She's really tired. I think her's sleeping." I moved her into a stall for the time being. Clarence escaped and was searching for her while making a lot of noise. Back inside Jacob drew a picture of a goat and said it was for Lockjaw. I made pancakes for breakfast. We watched a Clifford video after breakfast. Kenzie called and I talked to her for a little while. Then Mom called with an update on Grandpa. He is not doing well and has been also diagnosed with MRSA and its in his lungs. The boys played with legos for a while. Then they played in their shelter (area above the bed). We took Jacob to school and got home shortly before 1:00. Adam and I played with legos for a while. He asked me to build Mater, Lightning Mcqueen, and Frank (Cars characters.) Then we played doctor and took turns being the doctor or the patient. Adam and I also played school. He pretended to be the Daddy who was taking me to school and picking me up. We watched Bob the Builder while I did my afternoon run. After taking care of the animals we headed back to school to pick up Jacob. Jacob said, “Mommy, I missed you so much. I missed you all day.” At 4:30 I tucked Adam in for a nap. Jacob and I played with legos. I talked with Jared who was visiting a lego store in NC. Just before dinner I woke Adam up from his nap. He was very grouchy and didn’t want to eat anything for dinner. We spent most of the evening playing with legos. Aunt Bippi posted some funny videos on her facebook that the boys enjoyed watching. Both boys talked to Daddy on the phone this evening. After tucking them in bed I got a call from my Mom saying that my Grandpa, age 93, had passed away. He was a wonderful man and I will really, really miss him.

Jacob was showing me how he could twist his arms like a pretzel.
Jared left shortly before 5am. Jacob woke up at 7:00 but stayed in his bed for awhile. Then he played on my bed while I finished my exercises. Adam was up shortly before 8am. Both boys helped me make my bed this morning. After we were dressed for the day we went outside to take care of the animals. It was a chilly morning. The boys were so bundled up Jacob said, "Its a nice day out here." After breakfast the boys picked out a piece of candy from their bags. We watched Clifford and played with legos. The boys and I had fun playing hide and seek. They both hide in the same spot (Adam’s closet) every time but still thought it was great as I searched for them. It was raining when we left for school. Before going home we stopped at the store for a couple things. Adam ate some leftover pizza for lunch. Then I read with him and rocked him. At 1:30 I tucked him in for a nap and he fell asleep very quickly. I did some exercises and then just relaxed until it was time to wake Adam and leave to pick up Jacob. When we got home the boys helped me take care of the animals and collect eggs. They played with legos until dinnertime. They often pretend their going to GA. Daddy called this evening and the boys both wanted to talk to him. We sure do miss him. This evening we played with legos. We also watched an I Love Lucy episode. The boys also played in their tunnel. As I tucked Jacob in bed he told me the names of a few more friends in his class and what they did today. He also said, “I think Miss Tiff (teaching assistant) is gonna have a baby cause her's got a big belly.” I hope he doesn't say that to her.

Adam and I were pretending to sleep on the couch. Jacob came over to cover us up and then read to us. He wanted me to video tape some for Daddy (camera ran out of space on that last one.)

This morning I got up at 6am. It was nice to get an extra hour of sleep, especially since we got to bed late. The boys slept until around 8:00. After church Jacob asked if he could pick out something good to eat (from his Halloween bag) when we got home. Each of the boys picked out a piece of candy to eat before lunch. We had pizza for lunch. The boys cheered Daddy on as he played the Wii Fit. I took a short nap on the couch. We got out the Legos and they were played with for most of the day. Daddy built some lego vehicles with removable engines. Jacob loved playing with these. He would drive his car around until the engine broke down. Then he'd take it to the auto shop and Daddy would put in a new engine. We watched the colts game but Jacob cheered for the other team. I tucked Adam in for a nap around 2:45 and we woke him up for dinner. When Adam says no for something its always, “No sank shew (thank you).” And when he asked us to do something its usually, "Can you ... Can you?" The boys took turns picking Wii fit exercises/games for Daddy to do. They were tucked in bed around 9pm. Jacob told Daddy (who is working out of town this week), "I'll miss you after a few days." Earlier he told him he'd miss him all the way to the promise land.
