Jared had class this evening. After reading the boys their bedtime stories we cuddled in the rocking chair. They both sat on my lap, rubbing my belly while they talked and sang to their baby brother. What a sweet moment and it sure got the baby moving. Jacob's always asking, "Whats the baby saying?" He also often asked, "Whats God saying" about things that he does.

Kisses for Truman.

The boys woke up just as I was finishing my last exercise. We watched Clifford during breakfast. Around 9:00 we headed to church. Right away Adam walked over to Lanny (helper) and said, “Mommy poked Sammy in the butt.” There was only one other girl (4yr old) there today so Lanny didn't stay long. We had fun there and left around 11:30. Jacob complained about going to school and begged to come home with me. He cried as I left but again did great soon after that. One of Jacob's teachers was gone today and there was another new helper in his class. Adam and I did some shopping until it was time to pick Jacob up. As I buckled Jacob in his car seat he said, “I’m really gonna miss Lauren.” He told me some fun things that they did today. The story they read today he thought was pretty funny and he laughed as he told me all about it. We got home around 4pm. After reading I tucked Adam in for a nap though he never did fall asleep. Daddy got him up soon after getting home from work. The legos were played with until dinnertime. After dinner we watched Cars. Jacob also played with legos while watching the movie. Jared had class this evening. I worked on hemming some pants for Jared. The boys were tucked in bed by 9pm.

Going to get some leaves.

Mowing the lawn.

Jacob wore this hat for a long time this evening.

Watching Daddy play the Wii Fit.

After the boys were up and dressed we headed outside to take care of Sammy. It was a chilly morning, burr. We came inside for breakfast and watched the tractor video. Then we sat at the computer to watch some construction videos on there. Jacob wanted to paint his acorn that he’d cut out at school. I had the boys wear paint shirts while painting today. Jacob was not very happy about this at first but soon really liked the fact that he could just wipe his hand on his shirt rather than a paper towel. They both had a great time painting. We read lots of books and also played with legos until it was time to leave for school. Jacob did cried as I left but Miss Tiff said he stopped as soon as he sat at the lunch table. He told her he wasn’t going to eat any of his lunch but ended up eating all of it. She said he did great the rest of the day. At home Adam and I played with the fishing game. Then we went outside for about an hour. It was cold and windy. We played in the fort. Adam sits behind the little latter and pretend to be driving me to school. Then he chased me around in the grass pretending to be Frank. We kicked the soccer ball around and Adam really had fun doing that. Adam hauled some leaves onto the deck so he could mow them with the lawn mower (cart). We came inside and read books until it was time to leave. Jacob gave me a big hug when I saw him. He said he had a fun day at school. While Adam was napping Jacob and I played with legos. Then we cuddled on the couch. He loves to be tickled and kept saying, “tickle me again Mommy.” Jacob giggled as we hid on Daddy as he walked in the house and sat on the rocking chair that we were hiding behind. Then Jacob and I “scared” him. We woke Adam just before dinnertime. During dinner Jacob told us that he’d learned the chicken dance and the squirrel dance at school. He smiled as Daddy and I did the chicken dance. Jacob also mentioned that Miss Tiff is going to be gone from school for a while because she is taking someone to a hospital far away. After dinner I sat with the boys at the tables and they had fun doing their truck/car sticker story books. I talked with Vikki on the phone. Daddy went outside to collect eggs and lock up the chickens. Both boys were happy to go out with him. The boys enjoyed watching Daddy do some Wii Fit this evening. They were tucked in bed around 9pm.

Jacob said, "Look how cute we are, take our picture."

Jacob being silly.

This morning we went outside and the boy watched me give Sammy an antibiotics injection, pain pills, and then treat his leg wound. After I'd finished both boys wanted to give Sammy some grain. As for Sammy, the swelling is down and the wound looks better. We watched an Einstein dvd during breakfast. The boys like to point out Earth when they see it saying, "There's Earth. That's the planet we live on." Most of the morning was spent playing with legos. When Jacob asked for a drink of milk he said, "May I please have some milk. I learned that at school." Around noon we left to take Jacob to school. Jacob asked for 2 hugs and 2 kisses before heading into class. I was about halfway down the hallway when he came running out of the room. He was crying and said he wanted to go home with me. I took him back to class and sat with him until it was time to walk to the lunchroom. There was a new helper there today, whom later Jacob told me was Miss Low(?) and he really liked. Adam and I sat with Jacob during lunch. On our walk to the lunchroom Miss Tiff said that they've had a hard time getting Jacob to do things such as say the pledge (she has him stand with the class), write his name, or cut. She also said that when he does do these things he does great. Adam and I sat with Jacob during lunch. Both boys were very talkative with Miss Tiff. They told her all about the Cars movie. Jacob wanted a couple hugs before leaving to walk back to his classroom. Adam and I did some shopping until it was time to go back to school. We got to Jacob's school early and were able to watch him playing outside on "the castle." Last week he told us that he wasn't playing on the playground but just stood in the grass. He sure was having fun today and I enjoyed watching him. Miss Tiff said he did great all day and even was quite funny. Jacob was excited to show me the acorn he'd cut out and told me I could keep it for 2 sleeps but then Daddy gets it. Jacob has talked about them saying the pledge but I was surprised when he told me it almost word for word. He may not be saying it in class but he's listening and learning. He also told me about the story read where the squirrel lost its nuts. At home I tucked Adam in for a nap and we woke him just before dinnertime. Jacob and I went outside to take care of Sammy. Then Jacob said we were veterinarians. He pretended to read some really cute note that he'd wrote about the animals. As we raced to the house Jacob pretended to be Frank (combine) and I was Lightning McQueen. He wanted to chase me back to the barn and then to the house again. Inside we played store. Jacob and I set up items to sell and we got out the cash register. He even made cards to sell in his store. I did the shopping and Jacob was the cashier for the most part. When Jared got home he played this with us also. We laughed when Jacob was shopping for a card and laughed at a funny one to buy. We made chili for dinner. This evening we played with legos. The boys were tucked in bed shortly after 9pm.

The boys both have colds so we stayed home from church. We did go to TSC to get antibiotics for Sammy. It was another sunny day, though not as warm as yesterday. The boys really enjoyed watching Daddy put the snowplow on the tractor. The legos were played with a lot today. Adam took a 3 hr nap this afternoon. Jacob and Adam took separate baths this evening. They both enjoyed the extra space in the tub to splash around in. I made an apple pie. Jared is cheering for the Colts.

Jacob was up at 7:30 and soon woke Max up also. Not long after that Adam and Jack were awake. Jared went outside to take care of the animals while I gave the boys their breakfast. Soon Jared came back inside saying I needed to go look at Sammy because his abdomen was very swollen. The swelling was worse than I'd imagined. His sheath is swollen the size of a football and he is also very, very swollen on his abdomen and down his left leg. Walking is difficult for him. I remembered a horse at the barn where I boarded having a similar problem and it was due to a "bean" blocking his urethra. So, I cleaned him and got out a very large "bean". While cleaning him he flipped the grain tub as he tried to get it opened. He sure hasn't lost his appetite. I also noticed an infected wound on his left leg. We went out for Sat am drinks and donuts. It was a beautiful day outside and most of our day was spent outdoors. Jack took a 3hr nap and ate a late lunch after he'd woken up. The boys had fun playing in the leaves. Jacob and Max played together with the tractor and cart. Max drove and Jacob rode in the cart. Adam dropped my camera on the deck and it is now broken so back to using the old camera. We went inside for a while and the boys played with legos. Around 4:30 we headed over to Mom's house to celebrate Kenzie's 12th birthday. It was a fun evening spent with family and friends. The boys were very tired and fell asleep quickly on the drive home. We got home around 10pm.
