Dog pile
Jared had a cold ride to work on his scooter this morning. Eli usually wakes up in the mornings around 4:30-5am. He talks very loudly for quite awhile before fussing to nurse. After feeding him I tuck him back into his crib and he usually chats himself to sleep. Lately he really likes chewing on his blanket. Often he covers his face with his it and sometimes falls asleep that way. He's such a sweet little boy. It's hard to get a laugh from him but he easily gives us lots of smiles. He can roll over but he still doesn't do it much. Kenzie came over yesterday afternoon and is staying here for few days. The boys really enjoy having her around and so do we. She sure was a big help today. This weekend we have a couple families coming over to look at the house. While I was busy cleaning Kenzie took the boys outside to play. We packed a picnic lunch and ate on the hay deck. Kenzie and the boys worked on rearranging the hay bales to make a house up there. This evening (and yesterday evening) Kenzie watched Jacob and Adam while Jared and I drove around to look at houses for sale. We also stopped at a couple open houses. Jacob and Adam walk around the house with the walking sticks from Grandpa saying they're Battery D. We got a package in the mail today from Grandma. The boys love their Toy Story pillows and Woody vests. Thank-you for all the wonderful bibs for Eli. He likes looking at and chewing on them. Oh, and the potatoes - can't wait to try those!

It sure is fun watching Jared take off on the scooter in the mornings. We have a mom and 18 young turkey that roost in our trees. They fly down from the trees after he takes off. Adam woke up around 8:30 and we cuddled on the couch for a while. Eli seems to enjoy watching Baby Einstein. He likes sitting in his exersaucer. After breakfast the boys got out legos to play with and spent most the morning building with those. Eli was cuddly as I rocked him. He sure gets loud as he says, "Mamamama". After lunch Jacob and Adam did some drawings with markers. Then we got out the duplo legos to play with. For a while they had more fun playing with the wheeled container that they are stored in. Eli took a 3 hr nap and woke up around 2pm. This evening we went outside to do some yard work. Daddy found a couple caterpillars and the boys made houses for them in the sand. Then they rode up and down the driveway on their bikes. Jacob also played with the pedal tractor. I love how he starts it up by pulling it like our push mower. Eli got to go on his first tractor ride with Daddy. Jacob and Adam also rode on the tractor.
