Watching the skydivers

Eli watching the fireworks.

The boys were chatty with the "Atm lady" this morning and also told her they loved her. After getting our Sat am drinks and donuts we went to Salavation army. We also went to JoAnne fabrics so the boys could pick out some fleece. I'm making a couple sleep sacks for Eli to wear camping. Jacob picked out flourescent green and Adam picked bright blue. Around 4:30 we headed to the place where we meet my family each year to watch fireworks. We were there for about an hour before my family started showing up. We ate a packed lunch of sandwiches and pretzels. The kids all had a great time playing together. They really liked watching the skydivers jump from the plane above us. We took the boys for a walk to the river to see all the boats. They also got to see the draw bridge up and go back down. The fireworks display this year was great and the finale was awesome! Eli also seemed to enjoy the fireworks. He did cry when he heard the first loud bang but that was it. Daddy did kept his ears covered during most of it. We raced back to the van which was parked about a mile away and got home at 11:39 (record time). Jared likes to see how fast we can make it out of the crowd and home. We'd changed the boys into pjs and they fell asleep on the drive home.
