Happy boy in the sand.

Here comes another load of sand.

Jacob watched Daddy from up here.

While Daddy left to get some more sand, Jacob played. Jacob said, "I love this already!"
Last load finished. Time to park the tractor in the barn.

Back in the sand after dinner.
Adam showing Jacob the dinosaurs on his shirt.

Jacob showing me how he drove on the tractor with Daddy.
Gotta prepare a spot to dump that load.

Hey Jacob, where's your hand?

There it is.

I got up at 6am. Adam was awake shortly after 8:00 and he helped me wake up Daddy. Soon Jacob came running down the hallway. As we were sitting on our bed Adam started puking up all the water that he’d just drank. We decided to stay home from church today. The boys drew with markers on notecards. Adam said he drew a boat and handed me the note card saying, “Keep that. I make more.” He brought me another one saying, “Keep more.” He told me this one was a triangle. Jacob drew me broken train tracks. Adam tried to puke again before breakfast but didn’t have anything left in him. He still asked for breakfast saying, “Cheerios, milk please?” and he also ate a banana. We went out to the barn and moved the broiler chicks to clean stalls. We also separated a group of smaller one into a stall of their own. The boys helped us hold up a barrier to guide the chicks to the stall next to theirs. Jacob was excited to find a huge (double yoke) egg in the hay. We then took a trip to town to get chick feeder and waterer from TSC. We stayed and watch a worker load a trailer onto a forklift. He then hauled it to display by the road with the other trailers. The boys loved watching that. Before going home I made a quick trip into meijer for a few things. We got home around 1:30 and made a pizza for lunch. After lunch we went outside. It was a beautiful, cool day. The temperature was in the mid 60’s. Adam started sounding tired so I took him inside to read books. We cuddled in the rocking chair for a long time. After tucking him in for a nap I went back outside. Daddy and Jacob were up in the fort. Jared had hauled one load of sand into the sandbox. I played in the fort with Jacob while Jared continued hauling the sand. We hung our legs off the side of the fort. Jacob stuck Daddy’s flannel under my leg and we pretended to be fishing. He said, “When you see a fish jump, pull it in!” He’d help me pull in the big fish (he showed me how big one was by stretching his arm out) and then he would cook it over a fire. He’d hand me some saying, “Would you like some fish?” Jacob drove around in his little tikes truck on the deck while I did a 30 min run. We then went back to see how Daddy was doing on the sand. Jacob was excited to play in the sand with his new tractors. Every time Daddy would come back with another load of sand Jacob would run up to the top of his fort. Adam was awake when we came inside. After dinner we went back outside. The boys had fun playing in the sand. They especially enjoyed digging with shovels. Jacob liked filling up his dump truck. We went inside around 7:30. Jared had a little time to play Mario Kart with the boys before the Red Wings game came on. I had a great time playing hide and seek with them until pj time. On their turns to hide it was always under the big blanket on the floor in our bedroom. After finding them Jacob would ask, “Was I really still? And Adam too?” We took turns hiding. They’d count to ten to give me time to hide. I loved seeing the excitement on their faces when they’d find me. The boys were tucked in bed shortly after 9pm.

Playing Mario Kart.

Jared tried to mess up my pictures but was unsuccessful.
Jacob tried to stick his tongue out for these pictures (like Daddy) but he too was unsuccessful.

The alarm didn’t go off this morning so I overslept a little, waking up at 6:30. Jacob woke up at 8:00. He ran down to our bedroom to wake Daddy up. Adam was chatting in his bedroom. We went out for drinks and donuts and also walked around Salvation Amy. Daddy took the boys for a walk outside while I looked at clothes. I found myself a few shirts. We got home around 11:30. The boys didn’t eat much for lunch. We went outside to plant some things in the garden. The boys played in the pool and in the sprinkler. It was another cool day, low 70's and breezy. I took the shivering boys inside and changed them into some dry clothes. They cuddled under a blanket on the couch to warm up. We read some books and then I tucked Adam in for a nap. This afternoon we sheared Maude. Jacob had fun playing in the barn while we did that. We got a couple quick downpours of rain and it got very windy. It took us about an hour to finish Maude. We moved the horses into a different paddock. It was 4:30 when we came inside. I did a 30 min run. Jacob played with his forklift and flour at the counter. I sat out on the deck and enjoyed a cup of coffee. It was cool and windy and we heard thunder in the distance. Jared went in the water to look for tadpoles but he didn’t find any. Adam woke up around 5:30. He came out on the deck for a little while. Jacob talked Daddy into playing a game of Mario Kart before dinner. During dinner Jacob went to use the bathroom. He came back saying, “Wow, there’s a lot of junk in there.” I am working on laundry and there are many piles of clothes in there. After dinner the boys enjoyed watching Daddy play Mario Kart. I folded and put away the laundry. Jared was excited about watching the Red Wings game this evening. The boys took a bath before pj time. I washed out one of my creamer containers and Jacob had fun playing with it in the tub. He pretended to make me some cups of coffee and poured in the creamer. After tucking the boys in bed Jared and I went outside to take care of the animals.

Coming to give Mommy a wet hug.

Here they just spotted the semi coming down our road.

Jacob woke up shortly after I’d finished exercising this morning. Around 8:30 a lady came over to pick up some eggs. Jacob excitedly told her that he was four years old and showed her his new forklift. Adam woke up from the dog’s barking. Just before Adam went to sit down at their little table for breakfast he started puking. He still ate some of his breakfast. We watched the tractor video. Then Jacob showed Adam how to draw shapes on the dry erase board. They also drew giant ants. Adam drew on his shirt and as he showed Jacob he said, “I draw on dis shirt.” Around 10:00 we went outside. While the boy played, I hoed the garden. Then I got out the boys little pool and started filling it with water. I was hoping it would warm up in the sun and maybe they could swim if the weather was nice this weekend. They were really excited and asked if they could go it. They sure had fun! Jacob thought it was funny to give me wet hugs. Adam really enjoyed spraying the hose. He sprayed Jacob’s shorts and when they water dripped off of him he laughed and said, “You peed!” They both thought that was funny. They played in the pool until almost noon. I wrapped them in their towels and put them in the wagon. We took a walk down our road. Our neighbor came down the road in his semi which was pulling a camper. He waved and honked his horn at the waving boys. They were really excited about that. Jacob asked if we could have a picnic lunch on the deck. So I made sandwiches and we ate outside. Jacob said, “Its a nice day. I love this weather.” This afternoon the boys had fun with playdoh at the counter. Jacob likes to make bird nests with birds and eggs in them. He also made cakes for me. Adam said he was making pizza. We played music and the boys had fun with their instruments. At snack time they ate while I read them some books. Adam looked out the window and said, “Robin! I see robin out dere!” I lay him down for a nap around 2:30. Jacob rested while coloring with markers. He also played with automoblox and foam blocks. Jacob was excited to show me that he can now hop on one foot. He also showed me how he can get onto our bed by just putting his knee up. Usually they step up by using the frame. We went outside around 4pm. Jacob asked to play in the pool, which was now full of water. He had a great time playing in there. Jared got home around 5pm. He’d stopped and picked up a few more plants for our garden. We planted some flower plants and then took care of the animals. Adam woke up shortly after we came inside. After dinner we went to the mall. The boys played on the train table at Barnes and Noble. Then we took them to play at the malls playhouse. The boys had fun jumping from things in there. Adam liked jumping off the grape and the strawberry. Jacob jumped from the higher things. Soon there was a little boys there and Jacob made friends with him quickly. When we left Jacob told us that the boy was his best friend. After walking thru Sears we took the boys to sit on the quarter rides. Gavin (Jacob’s new best friend) was there and was just about to ride the rollercoster ride. He invited Jacob to ride with him. I wasn't sure if Jacob would like it but he seemed to enjoy it. We got home around 9:30. Jacob fell asleep in the car and continued sleeping as Daddy took him to his bed. Adam talked most the way home.
