I laughed when I saw the boys in their "hats"

Around 4:30 we headed over to Mel's house. The kids were so excited to get dressed up and go Trick or Treating. We walked around Mel's neighborhood with the kids for for a couple hours. Jacob (Buzz) and Hailey (tinkerbell) liked putting their arms out and running around to pretend they were flying. It was cold outside this evening. Back at Mel's house the kids dump their bags of candy to see what they got. They picked out one piece to eat before dinner. We had yummy chili for dinner - thanks Mel! Vikki and Kenzie stopped by for a visit.

Yesterday evening the boys helped me make cupcakes for Jacob's fall party at school. So this morning I had about 50 cupcakes to take into class and also two very large pumpkins. Jacob sure was excited to take the cupcakes there. He had forgotten his backpack so I went back out to the van to get that. Mrs LaFave said we could set the pumpkins by the outside door to the classroom which was near my van. From there we headed over to Mel's house. She watched the boys while I went shopping. Before leaving I fed and nursed Eli. He was napping when I got back. Mel and I visited for while before I started trimming her dog Abby. When Max got home from school he, Adam, and Jack went outside to play. Uncle Bruce raked a big pile of leaves that the kids had fun playing in. Eli didn't really like being in the leaves. Shortly after 2:00 I headed over to Mom's to pick up her dog, Mocha, who is staying with us for a few days. Adam and Eli slept on the drive home. Jacob sure was excited to talk about school today and to show me the candy and pencils he got. After dinner I trimmed Mocha's.

This morning at Jacob's school was Donut with Dad's day. Jacob sure was excited about it and later told Daddy that he thinks they should have Donut with Dad's every day! This afternoon Jacob was excited to talk about the journal he's keeping at school. He said, "today I wrote, we went to the punk-man's farm yesterday." While Eli was napping this evening Jared and I pushed the gravity wagon from by the goat paddock over to the front of our barn (someone is coming to look at it). The boys loved riding inside of it and and also rode underneath it. Jacob sings himself to sleep every night. He is usually singing a Spanish song he learned in class.

Watching Cat in the Hat

The boys were excited to see their pumpkins lit this morning. They ran around the dark house for a few minutes before breakfast. Jacob packed a notepad and pencil in his bag so he can draw while riding on the bus. At home we watched Cat in the Hat. Adam asked if Eli could lay by him on the couch. After tucking Eli in for a nap Adam and I played house. We went outside and had fun playing tag, hide and seek, and house out there. It sure was a windy day. We came inside around 11:30. Adam played webkinz until lunchtime and I did my morning run. Eli woke up around 1:00. After I was finished feeding Eli his lunch we sat on the couch and Adam picked out some books for us to read. Eli often makes a "ummm" sound after each bite of food, like its so good. Jacob was excited to talk about the firemen (and firetrucks) that visited his school today. Jared got a couple bags of boys clothes (Jacob's size and bigger) from a friend at work. I had fun going through those when he got home. Eli loved splashing around in the duck tub. He has such a serious expression on his face while splashing, which is so funny. Jacob and Adam were so tired and fell asleep in minutes after getting into bed.

This evening we took the boys to pick out some pumpkins. They were so excited and asked on the drive home if we could carve them tonight.

Jacob with his pumpkin

And then there's Adam with his:)

Working on Jacob's pumpkin.

Jacob drew on the newspaper how he wanted his to look.

Adam liked watching the knife cut through.

Time for Adam's pumpkin.

He told Daddy exactly how he wanted it to look.

And he was quite happy with how it looked.

Here they are, all done!!!
