Driving their limosine. Then it became a 16 wheeler monster truck.

Jacob found this toad.

Jacob called me into his bedroom during the night asking for a hug. After I gave him a hug he said, “I sure do love you.” I got up at 6am to do my exercises. Adam woke up around 8:15 calling for me. After I got him out of his crib he ran down to our bedroom to wake Daddy up. We lay in bed for a little and were soon joined by Jacob. Adam complained because Jacob sat on his blankets. After I handed him them he said, “I want him get hims bwank-bee (blankey).” Then Adam ran down to Jacob’s bedroom and brought back his blanket. Then he made some trips to get all Jacob’s stuffed animals too. The boys watched the tractor video during breakfast. We had to hurry to make it to church for the 9:30 service. After church I went into meijer for some groceries and diapers. Jared and the boys drove over to the auto shop to see if there were any smashed cars. When I got in the van Jacob told me about the smashed vehicles they’d seen. He said, “We saw two mashed (smashed) mini vans and a white smashed car and one mashed door and that same old green car.” We took another drive by so I could see them. Back home we made a pizza for lunch. After lunch Jared took a trip back to town to get gasoline for the lawn mower. The boys played while I worked on packing their bags for our camping trip. We (the boys and I) are leaving tomorrow morning. Jared will be joining us at the campground after work and caring for the animals. We will be camping with Mom, Vikki, and Kenzie. Jared picked up the mail on his way home. Jacob got a couple Highlight puzzle magazines in the mail and he worked on those. The boys liked watching out the window as Daddy mowed the lawn. At 2:30 we read books and then I tucked Adam in for a nap. Jacob rested in his bedroom. He liked watching Daddy mow the lawn from his bedroom window. And he also played with this Bruder truck and the dominos. I did a 30 min run. Jared got done mowing around 4pm. I worked on packing the van. Jared spread grass in the rows of our garden to help keep the weeds down. Jacob was excited to find a toad and played with it for a long time. He kept it in the empty kids pool. After taking care of the animals we went inside for dinner. Adam woke up soon after we came in. This evening we went outside because Jacob wanted to show Adam his toad. After showing it to him he then let the toad go. I finished packing the van, except last minute things and my bag. We came inside and the boys had fun in the tub until pj time. Adam sure was active in the tub tonight, more than his usual. He was really splashing a lot and flopping on his belly. He'd take handfuls of water and splash it up as high as he could. The boys wore washcloths on their head for a long time in there. Jacob’s prayer tonight went like this, “Dear Jesus help me to listen and obey, protect us and keep us safe, Heal Grandpa’s hip, Heal Mommy’s foot, Help Truman to live, I want Kate to go away cause she bites. Amen.”

Daddy working at the construction site.

Jacob tried to get Adam to put his arm around him but Adam didn't want to.

This morning I overslept. I looked at the clock and it was 6:40. Jared said the alarm went off shortly before 6am but I don’t remember it. Jacob woke up at 7:30. He lay in bed for a little while. I asked him if he wanted to play with flour while I finished my exercises – he did. Jared and Adam were soon up also. We went out for drinks and donuts this morning. Adam sure talks a lot while were driving. We took a drive past our previous house. Then we went to Salvation Army. I usually drink my cappuccino in there but a worker today told me I couldn’t. So we all took a walk outside while I finished that. It was such a beautiful morning and I really enjoyed the walk. After I was done with my drink we went back into the store. All women and kids clothes were half off today. I got some nice things for myself and also a couple shirts for Jacob. While I was still shopping, Daddy and the boys drove to a nearby car dealership. We got home around noon. After packing lunches to eat in the van we headed over to Sarah’s house and made an appointment for 50 broilers. When we got home I worked on a huge pile of laundry. Daddy and Jacob worked on a High Five activity book. Adam played with the Bruder vehicles. He drew on some notecards and put them in the dump truck pretending to deliver the mail. Then Daddy and the boys played with the road set. I sat down to drink a coffee. Adam went to the cupboard and grabbed a plastic mug. He asked for milk in it and wanted to sit by me on the couch. I read some books with him as we drank from our mugs. At 3:30 I tucked Adam in for a late nap. Before being tucked in he asked Daddy to rock him. Jacob and Daddy continued playing with some Bruder vehicles and the road set. I did a 30 min run. Around 4:45 Jared left to go to a co-workers retirement party. Jacob played at the counter with some flour. Then we went outside and Jacob helped me take care of the animals. When it was time to feed the broilers Jacob asked to pour in their food. I’m much more timid when it comes to 50 birds (who sometimes peck you) swarming the feeder and my feet while I’m trying to pour food into the feeder. Jacob acts just like Daddy as he feeds them. Adam was awake by the time we came back inside. After dinner the boys got out their tools to play with. We also played with the road set. Jared got home around 7:30. This evening we went outside to move the chicken tractor and put some medicine on a pecked bird. It was 8:30 when we came back inside. The boys ran around with shirts on their heads acting silly. They were tucked in bed shortly after 9pm.

Adam's new bike.

Jacob showing me his collection of flowers.
Jacob filling the bicycle with gas.
Adam getting pushed as he stands on the training wheels.

I got up at 6am to exercise. Jacob woke up around 8:00. First thing he said to me was, “Is Bippi driving here right now?” I let him know that she would be coming to our house after work. We cuddled in bed for a little while. Then Jacob got out his coin banks and emptied them onto the counter. Adam woke up at 9am. He lay on the floor in his bedroom as I changed his diaper. Kate came in the room and licked his arm. Adam whined, “Kate not nice to me. I want Kate out. Shut dat door.” When I was done changing him he went to sit in the rocking chair. I don’t’ think he’s feeling well as he was fussy today and has a runny nose. Jacob tried to make him smile as he crawled towards him roaring like a lion. Adam cried, “Dat not nice! Him not nice to me!” He said the same thing when Jacob rocked the chair. Adam picked Bob the Builder for them to watch during breakfast. At 10:30 we went outside. I worked on hoeing the garden. Jacob played in the sand by the house because it was shaded there. Adam got really wet spraying the hose. The mist from his hose felt good as I worked. He then went down the slide several times. He seems so big just climbing up and going down the slide all by himself (without me catching him). As he tried to sit on the swing Jacob came over and said, “I can make that lower for you Adam.” He climbed up in the fort and asked Adam to bring the swing closer. He lowered the chain for Adam. They had fun playing on the deck and pretending it was their house. We came inside shortly after noon for lunch. Then we went back out and I finished hoeing the garden. Jacob swam in the pool and Adam ran thru the sprinkler. Then they boys sat on their towels and watched our neighbor mowing grass. After I finished with the garden I got in the pool. Jacob joined me and then Adam asked to come in too. Adam only wanted to be held by me in there. We went inside at 2pm. I vacuumed the house while the boys played. They pretended the couch was their fire truck. We then read some books together as the boys ate their snack. I tucked Adam in for a nap at 3pm. Jacob rested while playing with his Bruder vehicles and dominos. I did a 30 min run. Then Jacob helped me unload the dishwasher and he put the silverware away for me. He did a great job and was so proud to show me the drawer when he’d finished putting them all away. As I heated up my coffee in the microwave I went to the bedroom to get something. Jacob ran to me saying, “I opened the door for you.” He’d pulled up a chair and opened the microwave door for me. We got out some flour to play with and also some of Jacob's matchbox cars. As I sat next to him at the counter I asked if I could use some of his cars in the flour. He said, “Sure, I can get you some” and quickly got down to go get me a few cars. Jacob has this 4-inch piece of metal (can’t remember what its from) that he likes me to twisty to his matchbox semi so he can pretend it’s a snowplow. I’d drive my cars up and pretend I couldn’t get thru the snow until he’d plow it for me. Then we did a project out of his High Five magazine. We mixed some shaving cream with water in a pan for him to draw and play in. Then we got out the food coloring so he could mix colors. He really enjoyed this. Jared got home around 5:30. Adam woke up and also played with some shaving cream in a pan. Jacob added the colors for him to mix. The boys were excited when Aunt Bippi came over. They ran around the house finding places to hide and then ended up greeting her at the door. She brought a radio flyer bicycle with training wheels for Adam. A lady gave it to her for free. He loves it and prefers pushing it forward with his feet rather that the pedals. After dinner we took care of the animals. Then the boys had fun going down the slide. Jacob practiced pumping his feet as he swung. Daddy gave him high pushes. He also tried standing on the swing like he saw the Amish girl doing when we took our broilers to Sarah. We then took a drive over to the rail trail so the boys could ride their trike/bike. It took some convincing to get Adam to wear his helmet but we weren’t going to let him ride without it. Jacob rode ahead and would circled back to stay near us. As Adam pushed his bike forward he let go saying, “Uh oh, no hands!” To get on the bike Adam likes to stand on the training wheels and climb over the back of the seat. He had fun standing on his training wheels while Aunt "Bippi" pushed him. The boys liked picking flowers. Adam walked most of the trip back to the van. He had handfuls of rocks and set them down saying, "I wanna count dem." I helped him count 9 rocks. We got home around 9:45.

Showing off the necklaces they made.

Showing off them cute smiles.

Busy slash park.

Boys running laps.

Another fun park (not many pictures - camera batteries died)

Fun with Daddy.

Jacob reading.

Jacob woke up around 8:30. He played with the road set until Adam woke up at 9:00. I put Sammy into the roundpen and fed him his grain. The boys watched their tractor video during breakfast. Around 10:30 we headed over to the library for Move and Grove Time. The boys sure have changed in the last few weeks. They were dancing a lot today and I sure enjoyed watching them. Then they played for a while at the train table. The boys each made a noodle necklace at a table the library had set up for it. Jacob’s necklace had less noodles because he was more into cutting yarn with the scissors. Adam didn’t want to stop putting the noodles on the yarn and kept saying, “just one more?” We read some book before taking an elevator ride to the top level. Before leaving we ate a packed lunch on a picnic table outside of the library. Then we headed downtown to the splash park. The place was packed with kids. At first Jacob went around watching the other kids with a big smile on his face. Adam watched from my lap. Soon both boys were running and playing in the spraying water. After about an hour we left there and headed over to another park. I really like this park. Thru the middle of the park is a stream with a sandy bottom and a pool that the kids can play in. At the start of the stream is a water fountain. The boys were putting handfuls of really wet sand on the rock wall above the fountain. Jacob told me it was their soap and asked me if I wanted some. We used the "soap" and washed our hands off in the water fountain. We had the place to ourselves for quite a while. Adam wanted to take a walk on the "road" and pointed out the stop sign before we stopped to look for "cars". The boys and I had fun playing “Toss the ball” where we’d toss the ball into the different shapes and it would roll out the bottom. After a while a nice family with the Grandparents, daughter, granddaughter, and baby grandson came to play. They said they'd come from the busy splash park. We stayed there for about 1 ½ hrs. The boys and I had a lot of fun. We stopped at Kohl’s before going home. It was around 4:30 when we got home. Jacob fell asleep in the car and continued sleeping as I lay him in bed. I read with Adam and tucked him in for a late nap. Jared got home around 6pm and Adam woke up at that time. We went outside to take care of the animals. Jacob continued sleeping in the house. I went inside when I noticed Jacob watching us from the window. After dinner Jared built another nice track with the road set and they had fun playing on that. Adam rolled up a piece of stickers paper and said, “I rollin up a present. Here ya go.” We went outside to put a tart over the coop holding a group of broilers and also to weigh some of the meat birds. I thought it was 8:30 but looked at the microwave clock and told Jared, “Its only 7:30.” After watering the goats and sheep the boys asked to play on the sand hill. We went up there for a while. It was 8:30 when we came inside. I decided to give the boys a quick bath. While I was doing that Jared said, “You know its 9:30.” Jared had set the microwave clock earlier but it was 1 hr off. The boys were tucked in bed around 10pm.
