Sun and rain.

Last night I stayed up late doing my am exercise. I only had one 30 min run left to do this morning. I got up at 5:45 when Jared’s alarm went off. Around 6:45 I woke the boys, dressed them, and put them in their carseats. They ate dry cheerios and drank milk on the trip to town. As we neared Jared’s work Adam waved saying, “Hi Daddy.” Usually he says, “There’s Daddy’s work.” I dropped the boys off at Grandpa’s house because Mom was there this morning. From there I drove Mom's car so she could have the van for the boys. My appointment lasted the whole 2 hrs – bummer. I’m glad to have it over with. The boys were eating a snack when I got to Mom’s house. Mom turned on some music and we relaxed while listening to it. Adam danced to the music. Mom and Jacob headed back to Grandpa’s house to hang his laundry on the line. Jacob ate his lunch on the drive there. Adam and I stayed at Mom’s house and ate lunch together. Mom made strawberry shortcake, which was really good. Adam loved all of it, but Jacob only wanted to eat the biscuit. Kenzie and Josie (her good friend) came over to go swimming. We all went for a swim. The weather was in the mid 90’s today. Adam came in with me some but mostly enjoyed playing out of the pool. Nana got out the flower sprinkler, where the flower moves all over spraying water. The boys thought this sprinkler was very funny. Mom also got out the slip and slide. Kenzie put dish soap on that to help them slide faster. Both boys tried the slip and slide. Adam really liked the sprinkler on its side. Jacob mostly enjoyed being in the pool. He now swim’s (with swimmies and a water noodle) all over the pool by himself. We spent a couple hours out there and all had a great time. The boys played with Noah’s arch for a while after getting into their dry clothes. Around 4:15 we left for home. Jacob fell asleep almost as soon as we left the driveway. And Adam was asleep soon after that. Jared and I met at Sears to return a cheap hose. They gave Jared a much nicer (more expensive) hose for no extra charge. While Jared sat with the sleeping boys I went into Walmart for a couple things. Then we had to take back some chicken fencing we didn’t end up using. We got home around 5:30. Both boys woke up as we opened the van doors. We came inside to get dinner ready. After dinner we went outside to take care of the animals. Adam asked Daddy to take off his shirt saying he was too cold. This evening Daddy had fun building a track from Vikki’s road set. The boys enjoyed playing with that. I relaxed with a cup of coffee. Adam pointed at the smaller couch saying, “I wanna jump on a little couch.” On the second jump he fell and hit his head on the side of the glider rocker. He now has a huge bump on his head. Around 8:30 it started raining. We watched from the couch. Daddy called us saying there was a rainbow in the sky. It was such a nice rain. We got out the umbrellas and took a walk in our driveway. The boys loved it when Daddy stood with his umbrella under the leaking gutter. Jacob liked standing under it with his umbrella and water boots on. Adam would stick his umbrella under but he didn’t want to stand under there. The boys were tucked in bed by 9:15. Jacob didn’t fall asleep until 10:30.
