This morning I got up at 6am. The boys woke up around 8:00. In the crib Adam had his socks off and was pretending one was a car and the other was a gate. He set both socks by his feet and said, "Car and gate on my feet?" He smiled as I put them on for him. The boys watched the firetruck video during breakfast. I took the boys to Move and Groove at the library. We all had a great time there. The boys participated more this week. They love the goldfish song and the bean bag song. They then had fun playing on the train table. Jacob asked to read Katy and Choo Choo so we read them before taking an elevator ride up to the top floor of the library. The middle of the room up there is open and you can look down to the first floor. We took a walk around the opening. After leaving the library we did some Fathers Day shopping. The boys ate lunch in the car. We got to Nana's house around 1:00. Kenzie was swimming in the pool. Jacob sat on the ladder and stuck his feet in. Adam splashed as I held him by the side of the pool. We went inside and the boys had fun playing with the Little People Noah's arch. Mel and her kids got there around 2pm. Max, Jacob, and Adam played with cars. We did Hailey's hair for her dress rehearsal. Mel, Hailey, and I headed to the theator for Hailey's dance rehearsal which started at 3pm. We got Hailey dressed in her costume and then waited for her group to go up. Hailey did such a great job. I am looking forward to tomorrows recital. On the way back to Mom's house we stopped at Tim Horton's - Thanks Mel for my capuccino. Mom had dinner ready when we got there. The kids were watching Cars. After dinner they went outside to play on the swingset. Adam was excited about staying at Aunt Missy's house. And Hailey seemed just as excited. She told me how they were going to have ice cream and kept asking us when we were leaving. Max and Jacob talked the entire drive home. At home Max ran right to the sandbox and Jacob joined him. While we took care of the animals the boys played in the barn. Max liked filling up the wheel barrel with sawdust using the snow shovel. Jacob, Max, and I caught a couple layer chicks. Max carried the chick over to show Uncle Jared. When we came inside Max took off his socks right away. Jacob went to show him where to put them (so Truman doesn't get them) and said, "Adam, Max - whoever you are..." Thats what he likes me to say when I get him or Adam's name mixed up. The boys enjoyed Superman ice cream. Jacob (Max followed) ran to tell Daddy that "Superman ice cream is the best!" Daddy does not like that flavor of ice cream but the boys always be sure to let him know how good it is. Jacob showed Max all his new Bruder vehicles. They played with them and foam blocks until bedtime. They liked filling up the dump truck and forklift with blocks and then dumping them. We read a tractor book, Where's Waldo, and the Bible. Then we sang some songs. Also the boys each had me listen to songs they made up. Jared gave them some car rides on his knees. Jacob was excited to have Max sleep in his bedroom. Truman slept on the floor by Max's sleeping bag. Max smiled big as he pet him.
