Adam's new bike.

Jacob showing me his collection of flowers.
Jacob filling the bicycle with gas.
Adam getting pushed as he stands on the training wheels.

I got up at 6am to exercise. Jacob woke up around 8:00. First thing he said to me was, “Is Bippi driving here right now?” I let him know that she would be coming to our house after work. We cuddled in bed for a little while. Then Jacob got out his coin banks and emptied them onto the counter. Adam woke up at 9am. He lay on the floor in his bedroom as I changed his diaper. Kate came in the room and licked his arm. Adam whined, “Kate not nice to me. I want Kate out. Shut dat door.” When I was done changing him he went to sit in the rocking chair. I don’t’ think he’s feeling well as he was fussy today and has a runny nose. Jacob tried to make him smile as he crawled towards him roaring like a lion. Adam cried, “Dat not nice! Him not nice to me!” He said the same thing when Jacob rocked the chair. Adam picked Bob the Builder for them to watch during breakfast. At 10:30 we went outside. I worked on hoeing the garden. Jacob played in the sand by the house because it was shaded there. Adam got really wet spraying the hose. The mist from his hose felt good as I worked. He then went down the slide several times. He seems so big just climbing up and going down the slide all by himself (without me catching him). As he tried to sit on the swing Jacob came over and said, “I can make that lower for you Adam.” He climbed up in the fort and asked Adam to bring the swing closer. He lowered the chain for Adam. They had fun playing on the deck and pretending it was their house. We came inside shortly after noon for lunch. Then we went back out and I finished hoeing the garden. Jacob swam in the pool and Adam ran thru the sprinkler. Then they boys sat on their towels and watched our neighbor mowing grass. After I finished with the garden I got in the pool. Jacob joined me and then Adam asked to come in too. Adam only wanted to be held by me in there. We went inside at 2pm. I vacuumed the house while the boys played. They pretended the couch was their fire truck. We then read some books together as the boys ate their snack. I tucked Adam in for a nap at 3pm. Jacob rested while playing with his Bruder vehicles and dominos. I did a 30 min run. Then Jacob helped me unload the dishwasher and he put the silverware away for me. He did a great job and was so proud to show me the drawer when he’d finished putting them all away. As I heated up my coffee in the microwave I went to the bedroom to get something. Jacob ran to me saying, “I opened the door for you.” He’d pulled up a chair and opened the microwave door for me. We got out some flour to play with and also some of Jacob's matchbox cars. As I sat next to him at the counter I asked if I could use some of his cars in the flour. He said, “Sure, I can get you some” and quickly got down to go get me a few cars. Jacob has this 4-inch piece of metal (can’t remember what its from) that he likes me to twisty to his matchbox semi so he can pretend it’s a snowplow. I’d drive my cars up and pretend I couldn’t get thru the snow until he’d plow it for me. Then we did a project out of his High Five magazine. We mixed some shaving cream with water in a pan for him to draw and play in. Then we got out the food coloring so he could mix colors. He really enjoyed this. Jared got home around 5:30. Adam woke up and also played with some shaving cream in a pan. Jacob added the colors for him to mix. The boys were excited when Aunt Bippi came over. They ran around the house finding places to hide and then ended up greeting her at the door. She brought a radio flyer bicycle with training wheels for Adam. A lady gave it to her for free. He loves it and prefers pushing it forward with his feet rather that the pedals. After dinner we took care of the animals. Then the boys had fun going down the slide. Jacob practiced pumping his feet as he swung. Daddy gave him high pushes. He also tried standing on the swing like he saw the Amish girl doing when we took our broilers to Sarah. We then took a drive over to the rail trail so the boys could ride their trike/bike. It took some convincing to get Adam to wear his helmet but we weren’t going to let him ride without it. Jacob rode ahead and would circled back to stay near us. As Adam pushed his bike forward he let go saying, “Uh oh, no hands!” To get on the bike Adam likes to stand on the training wheels and climb over the back of the seat. He had fun standing on his training wheels while Aunt "Bippi" pushed him. The boys liked picking flowers. Adam walked most of the trip back to the van. He had handfuls of rocks and set them down saying, "I wanna count dem." I helped him count 9 rocks. We got home around 9:45.
