Jared here. Just wanted to write a couple of words about a birthday party Jacob went to. His very first invitation to a class mates birthday party. The little girls name was Lauren. He was very excited the days prior to the birthday party. The party was at a local bowling alley. We arrived right on time and Jacob was very excited to see the birthday girl. We got his bowling shoes which he was somewhat excited to wear as they were so strange looking. Once they were on he was less excited about them. But we went down to where the balls were at and let him stand on the bowling platform. He quickly realized he could do some cool dance moves on the super slick surface with his super slick shoes. He said he wasn't going to bowl but I encouraged him to hold a ball saying that it was quite heavy. He wanted to show me his muscles and picked it up over his head. I was a little worried but he did fine. next thing I knew all the other little boys for the party were picking up the bowling balls over their heads as well. Flashes of an emergency room and explanations to parents went through my mind. But hey why not have some fun. Jacob had fun bowling. the boys bowled on one lane and the girls on the others. I kept the boys going on who was up next. sometimes this was a chore due to them being a bit squirrely but we got through one game. Then it was time for pizza and cake and ice cream. Then the presents were opened. Jacob was excited for her to open his present and also all the others. There were probably 5 boys and 8 girls...give or take. It was really cool getting to meet Jacobs friends that he talks about. He got a little bag of parting gifts when he left. They had John Deere stuff for the boys and princess stuff for the girls. That's about it. On a side note I gave blood last friday and I'm catching up to dad and have completed my 4th gal. Give till it stops dripping.

Looks like it was a fun party that Jacob went to. Jared took nice pictures and sounded like he was a big help, other than the bowling balls over the head thing. Cute how Jacob was so excited about the party.

I love the mirror pictures of Eli. He's just such a sweet baby.
