Opening their mail. Engineer vests made by Grandma!

Naptime for the engineers. Jacob set his alarm.

I thought Adam was asleep until I went in to take their pictures. He said, "Mommy, can we get up?" Then he asked me to set the timer for when they could get up.

The boys woke up shortly before 8am. I finished my last exercise and then got the boys their breakfast of cheerios and toast (with cinnamon). Jacob loves to butter his own toast and both boys like putting on the cinnamon. After watching Sid they got out the car mat and matchbox cars to play with on it. Around 9:45 we headed to Jacob’s school for a parent/teacher conference. Jared met us there. The boys played while we talked with the teacher. She told us that she has seen major improvements with Jacob. They were having difficulties getting him to participate with group project but that is not an issue anymore. He’s doing great and they are impressed with his skills such as writing and scissors. She commented that he can cuts as well as they can. And she also said he’s the only boy in the class that chooses to visit the art center every day. She mentioned that he has a great imagination and loves to build things. Jacob came over while we were talking and said, “I love you Mommy." Then he looked at his teacher and said, “I love you too.” She said he tells them this often during the day. Now the only thing he doesn’t want to do is participate in songs like the hokey pokey and chicken dance. Before leaving we set up an appointment for a home visit on Feb 11th. Jacob is excited for his teachers to visit so he can show them his new bunk bed. Jared headed back to work. We went to Tim Horton's and Salvation army. I drank my coffee in the van before going inside. While we waited Jacob and I had fun playing “I spy a color.” We also stopped at meijer for some groceries. Got home around 1:30. The boys played for a little while before we read books. I tucked Adam in for a nap around 2:30. Jacob and I rested on the couch for awhile. Then we got out the legos to build with. I did my afternoon run. Adam woke up around 5:30. Jared got out of work late so we decided to meet at Fazoli’s for dinner. The boys were very excited and we had a nice time. Usually the boys sit across from each other but Jacob said, "I wanna sit by Adam." While we ate Jacob said, "I love you Adam" and Adam replied, "I love you." Daddy got the mail on the way home. The boys were excited to opening up a package from Grandma. They love their train vest and wore them as they played on their train until pj time. Before bed Jacob said, “I’m gonna sleep with this (his vest) cause I love it.” Adam also went to bed with his vest on.
