The boys love this roller slide.



We had a great time at the park today. The weather was perfect, high 60's and sunny. We left the park around 1:00 and headed to my dentist appointment. The boys were very well behaved during my appointment. Eli slept most of it but started to fuss just as they finished. He changed to smiles when the doctor started talking to him. Nana watched Jacob and Adam while I went grocery shopping. I stopped at Mel's house to give her some clothes for Jack and also nursed Eli. She told me they were going to board their dog while they went camping but I offered to watch her instead. She's such a nice dog though Kate's not sure of her yet. Jacob had another fun evening at VBS. He was excited to show me the telescope he'd made and his new whistle. There were over 13o kids at church this evening.

The boys slept in until 9am and Eli was up at 9:30. Usually the boys play in pj’s for a while but Jacob wanted to get dressed right away this morning. After breakfast Jacob got out the foam blocks and they played with those and bruder vehicles. We watched a Baby Einstein video. Jacob was disappointed that Grandma couldn’t make it to our house today. I reminded him that he gets to go to VBS this evening and he said, “Good, I’m gonna have fun this day.” The boys worked on "pipes" in Eli's closet using their tools and also played with the cash register. Shortly after 11:00 we headed to my eye doctor appointment. After trying just glasses for awhile I decided I wanted to get more contacts. The doctor gave me a couple different kinds of contacts to try. Jared watched the boys during my appointment. Then he went back to work and we did some shopping at Goodwill and Salvation Army. We got home just after 3pm. Jacob and Adam rested while I did my afternoon run. After dinner I took Jacob and Nik to VBS. This evening we relaxed on the glider. Adam collected pine cones to throw in the pool. He likes to scoops them out and into a bucket using the fish net. Then he wanted Daddy to throw them at him and make into the net, which he held right in front of his face. He’d laugh when the water splashed in his face or the pine cone missed and hit him on the head. Meagan (Nik’s sister) came over to visit. Shortly after 8:00 I left to go pick up Jacob and Nik. They sure had a lot of fun again today and I love talking with them as we drove. Adam and Eli were both asleep when we got home.

Adam and Eli were up around 8:30 and Jacob slept until 9am. After breakfast the boys and I played with legos. Eli was content to be on his belly for a short time. He started to fuss so I cuddled with him in the chair and he was full of smiles. He loves for me to play pat-a-cake with him. At 10:30 I tucked him in for a nap and he slept for 3 hrs. Jacob played webkinz on the computer. Then I helped Adam play his webkinz. After lunch the boys sat at the counter to play with flour. Jacob helped me vacuum the floor (and counter) when they were done. Jacob, Adam, Eli and I played hide and seek. Jacob and Adam are good at hiding (always together) and being really quiet. Eli and I hide behind the hanging robe in our closet. The boys had a hard time finding us there, but they kept searching and found us. Jacob and Adam put blankets, toys, and stuffed animals in the hallway and said it was their boat. We watched a Baby Einstein video. Eli took another 3 hr nap this afternoon/evening. Jacob and Adam rested on the couches while looking at books. Then they sat at the counter to draw. Jared got home around 5pm. We ate dinner a little early this evening. Daddy took Jacob and Nik (neighbor boy) to vacation bible school at our church. Adam helped me pull weeds from the flowers. Then Jared, Eli, and I relaxed on the glider. Adam had fun playing with the pool water. Jared left shortly after 8:00 to pick up the boys. Adam picked out lots of books for me to read to him and Eli. I tucked Adam in bed at 8:45 and he was asleep very quickly. Jacob was very excited to tell us about VBS and is looking forward to going back tomorrow.

My parents, Kenzie, and Josie left around 6:30am. Jared and I moved into the camper with the kids. They slept in until shortly after 9:00. After breakfast Jared and I played some dice. The boys did some coloring. Then Jacob and Daddy played a game of dice. Adam and I did a stamp book of Yogi bear (who he calls Scooby Dooby) together. Then we took a walk (Jacob rode his bike) around the campground. We then just relaxed in the shade and watched the boys play. Around 2:00 we got the boys in their suits and headed to the pool. We didn't even get through the gate when the worker had everyone get out of the pool because of the thunder. We decided to take the umbrellas and go for a walk (it was only sprinkling). It started pouring on our walk and we got very wet. Inside the camper I made the boys some hot chocolate. Jared and I played some dice while the boys colored. Nana and Hailey got there around 3:45. After a little while we started packing up for home. Got home shortly after 5pm. The boys slept until we woke them at 6:30. We watched Toys Story 2 and had popcorn, pop, and ice cream. Jacob and Adam had a hard time getting to sleep this evening. Adam wanted to sleep on the floor in Eli's bedroom.

Around 12:30 today we left to go on a canoe ride down the river. Nana, Kenzie, and Josie were in one canoe while Jared, the boys, and I were in the other. Papa stayed with Eli who was napping. The canoe ride was alot of fun. Jacob and Adam liked sticking their feet into the water. We stopped after awhile to eat a packed lunch in the canoe. There was a huge spider by the edge of the river. The Dragon flies kept landing on Kenzie and Jared. We got back shortly after 3pm. Then it was fun in the pool until almost dinnertime. We sat around the fire and made smores again this evening. After Jacob and Adam were tucked in bed we played some games of dice. Jared and I slept in the tent tonight because Josie was scared to sleep in their again.
