Happy Fathers Day 2010!!!

I got up at 5:30 to nurse Eli. After tucking him back in bed I did my am exercises. Adam and Jacob were up around 8am and they woke up Daddy. Eli gave Daddy a Fathers Day gift in his diaper this morning. The boys were very excited to give Daddy his gift and liked showing him the cards they'd made. (Jacob had me write this on his card, Your the best Daddy. Your the best builder ever with legos. I love you. And here's a thank-you gift to you.) The boys had picked out a techniques lego excavator set for Daddy. They started putting it together but had to put it away so we could get to church on time. After church they worked on it again. Around noon we headed over to my parents house. On the way there we realized we’d forgotten the keys for Jared’s car, which he’d left there yesterday. Jared dropped me off at Goodwill to shop while he drove home to get the keys. We got to my parents around 1:00. Mom made pizza for lunch – thanks Mom! The kids watched Homeward Bound. After the movie we went outside. Jared and the kids went for a swim in the pool. We set up chairs in the shade and enjoyed visiting and watching the kids. When Eli woke up from his nap he got to go swimming too. He seemed to enjoy being in the water, except getting splashed in his face. We got home at 7pm. Daddy and the boys finished the lego excavator and played with it. We watched part of Toy Story 2 and had popcorn, pop, and ice cream. The boys were tucked in bed around 9pm
