Wednesday 8-4-10 (Day 12)

Eagle River










This is where the boys like to sit after we pulled into the campground.



Poor Adam got stung 4 times. Showing me his stung thumb.




We were up at 8am. After breakfast and our morning walk we relaxed at our site for awhile. Jacob, Adam and Andrew played with their new walking sticks and said they were soldiers. They also played, "cheeseburger." Around noon we went to Eagle River. After eating some sandwiches we headed out onto the beach. The boys played mostly in the stream today as it was very windy and there were lots of waves in the lake. Jacob and Adam went in the lake some but really didn't like the waves. A couple waves went over Adam's head and scared him. Eli was content and spent most of the time in the carrier. The boys were very excited when they saw Andrew come to the beach to play with them. They sure had a fun time. We stayed at the beach for a few hours. On the drive back to camp we stopped at a Roadside park and hiked on the rocks by Lake Superior. We saw an orr boat from up there. We also stopped to see Leslie at the shop. When we drive past their shop Adam usually says, "There's Leslie's house." Jacob had to give Leslie two hugs before leaving. We got back to camp around 5pm. Andrew came over to play with the boys until dinnertime. Adam was playing and stopped to tell me that something hurt in his pants. I walked him to the tent to check it out. Adam reached down in his pants and pulled out a bee. It stung him on his thumb and three other spot in his pants. After dinner Andrew came with us on a walk around the campground. He liked sitting on the stroller in front of Eli. He often tells me, "He's (Eli) really cute!" We went out for ice cream this evening. After tucking the boys in bed Jared and I sat by the fire. It started to rain so we played some dice in the tent.
