Tuesday 8-3-10 (Day11)

Betty Griese beach









Andrew came over to Grandma's and ate pancakes for breakfast with the boys. He also joined us on a walk around the campground and rode the scooter. Grandpa finished making Adam's walking stick this morning. Grandma came over to visit at our site. Around noon we headed over to Betty Griese. On the drive there we saw a porcupine on the side of the road. We got out to see it up close and take pictures of it. The water at the beach was very refreshing on such a hot day. Jacob and Adam liked riding on Daddy's back as he swam in the water. Even Eli had fun splashing in the water. Truman stayed in the van (with the door open) while we spent about 2 hrs on the beach. During that time Truman opened our bag from the Jampot and ate all our cookies (ginger snaps and hermit). We were very low on gas so drove to Calumet to fill up. There we stopped at the store to pick out some salt water taffy. The boys each picked out 10 pieces to put in their baskets. We got back to camp at 5:30. Grandma came over to visit and held Eli while we ate dinner. After dinner we went over to visit with Grandma and Grandpa. Then we walked around camp and over to Pebble Beach. We relaxed on the beach and threw rocks in the water. Got back to camp just after 9pm.
