Monday 8-2-10 (Day 10)

Looking for Copper with Grandpa

After breakfast we took our morning walk around the campground. The boys stopped their bikes by an empty campsite with lots of wood. We loaded the wood onto our stroller and hauled it back to our site. We only needed to buy wood once on this camping trip. At 10:00 we headed out to the Central mine where Grandma and Grandpa were. Jacob seemed to like looking for Copper with Grandpa and Daddy. Adam more enjoyed climbing on the rocks. Uncle Eric and Andrew also came out on the mines while we were there. Grandma found a huge bone, maybe from a bear's backbone. From there we went over to the Great Sand Bay. It was around noon so we made sandwiches to eat before going down to the beach. Grandma and Grandpa also came to the beach for a while. Soon after they left Uncle Eric, Aunt Kat and the boys came. We were at the beach for a few hours and had such a fun time. After the beach we stopped at the Jampot for goodies. Adam asked, "Can we go to see Jacob's Falls?" We did and sat by them while enjoying our goodies. It was around 5pm when we got back to camp and both Jacob and Adam had fallen asleep. The boys continued sleeping for awhile in their car seats. When Adam woke up I took him and Eli for a walk. Jared cut up some firewood. After dinner we took another walk around the campground. Jacob and Adam sure are having lots of fun riding their bikes on this camping trip. They like doing tricks on their bikes like riding off their seats(butt over back wheel), pedaling with one foot, holding their feet off the pedals. This evening we sat by the fire and made smores. Jacob and Adam were very excited about the walking sticks Grandpa's making for them and enjoyed watching him work on them. Grandpa finished Jacob's stick tonight. We got to bed around 10:30.
