Saturday 7-31-10 (Day 8)

Jacob was up early this morning and Daddy took him to use the potty. Eli got up at 7:30 but went back to sleep after nursing. Daddy and Jacob ate pancakes at Grandma's. Eli woke up at 9:00. I walked and Jacob rode his bike around the campground. Then Daddy and Jacob went around the campground. Adam slept in until almost 10:00. We walked over to the Fort to watch Battery D. Then we went thru some of the Fort buildings including the jail. Jacob and Adam locked Grandma in the jail cell. After lunch we headed into town to visit Dennis's shop. Eric and Andrew were there. We walked across the street so the boys could sit on the orr boat at The Pines restaurant. They also went up on the big chair with Uncle Eric. This year Jacob can climb up and down all by himself. We then took the boys to the school playground. Uncle Eric gave them pushes on the merry-g0-round. Adam and Andrew did the teeter todder but they only liked that a couple times and then wanted off. We got back to camp around 3pm and went to the Fort to watch Battery D shoot off the canons. Jacob got a sliver in his hand. It was deep but he was very good about letting me get it out. Jacob found a piece of copper in the rocks by the bathroom. After dinner we took a walk over to the Fort store to look around. Then we watched Battery D's "retiring of the colors." We made smores and sat by the fire. Grandma and Grandma came over for a little while.
