Bedtime.

Jared and I were waiting excitedly for the boys to wake up this morning. Around 8:30 Jacob woke up and he soon ran in to wake up Adam. They were very excited to see the present under the tree. Jacob quickly grabbed his stocking and began opening. Adam lay on the couch but worked his way over when he saw the things Jacob was opening. In their stockings were matchbox cars, kids craft scissors, toothbrushes that light up, chapstick, handcuffs, m&m's, tictacs, and fun dips. Jacob was excited to see that his matchbox car had a stick shift. After stockings the boys each opened a Bruder garbage truck. Then together they opened a water tower figure 8 train set and a box with individually wrapped trains. Daddy got his GPS and a few blades for his reciprocating saw. I got a baby carrier, a beautiful soft blanket, and some pacifiers (for the baby:). The boys had fun playing with their new toys until it was time to leave for my parents house. My sisters and their families were already there. Also Ruth, a friend, was there to celebrate with us. We always start off our Christmas with a prayer and then Dad reads the Christmas story from the Bible. Then kids then took turns opening their gifts from Nana and Papa. Also they had drawn names for a gift exchange and sure enjoyed giving the gifts they'd helped with. The adults opened gifts last. Jacob's keeps asking, "Am I still 4." Chuck and Sue arrived soon after we'd finished opening gifts. Jacob and Adam really loved Max's new baby doll that drinks a bottle and pees. Jacob pretended with the baby (and Hailey with her baby) until the meal was ready. The kids sat at a table together and it was cute when they all sang Jingle Bells together. After dinner I took Adam downstairs and he played with his automoblox. Jacob then came down and sat at the table to put together his legos. He and Daddy built a roller, a front end loader, and a dump truck. We lit candles on the cake and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. Then we had cake, ice cream, and pie. It was such a fun day together with family and friends. We got home around 6:30. The boys first painted with their new paint markers. We also played a game of Candyland. Jacob sat at the table and played with his lego set. He also played with the garbage truck for a little while until pj time. Adam played with automoblox and then had fun just playing with boxes. The boys were tucked in bed shortly after 9:00.

Great pictures of another wonderful family Christmas.
I especially like the one of Jack in the garbage. He's pretty happy in there. So much fun watching all the grandchildren open their gifts and give their gifts to others to open.

I like that one of Jack in the garbage too. The look on his face is too funny.
