Day 9

I got up at 6:00. The boys were awake around 8:15. We lay in bed and had fun with the flashlight on the ceiling. Mom made blueberry pancakes for breakfast. She also made some without blueberries for the boys. We walked (the boys rode bikes) down to the playground. Kenzie found a dead moth that she named Mothy. Her and Jacob played with the thing making it a sand house and putting it down the slide. When we came back for lunch the neighbors asked if we had a brown and black dog. Vikki’s dog, Monica, had gotten loose and was now with security. Vikki and Rody were gone so we went to get her and then came back for lunch. After lunch the kids drew at the table in the camper. Around 2pm I lay down with the boys. They fell asleep quickly. Jacob slept for about an hour. He and Kenzie did some more drawing. We went outside and I did a 1hr run while Kenzie and Jacob played in the dirt. Adam woke up at 4:00. Nana, the boys, and I went for a bike ride until it was time to prepare dinner. We made aluminum foil meals for dinner. Jared got there around 6:30. After dinner we took a walk with Nana. Kenzie went to the playground to play with her friends. We came back and sat around a campfire. I made hot chocolate for the kids and coffee for Mom and I. We roasted marshmallows and made smores. Before going to bed we did some more sparklers. We were in bed at 10:30.
