Outdoor adventure camping - Day 1

I was up at 6am. The boys woke up at 8:00. We headed to the campground by around 9:00. As we were leaving I noticed the van’s low fuel light was on. I didn’t want to backtrack so we waited until the nearest gas station ~ 30 miles away – and made it. The boys sure were excited about going camping. Kenzie gave each of the boys a little piece of candy when we got there. We took a short walk. Then the boys colored with Kenzie in her tent. Vikki, the boys, and I went for a bike ride. The boys rode in the cart pulled behind my bike. Jacob and Adam played in the dirt with their toys until lunchtime. After lunch we all (Mom, Vikki, Kenzie, the boys and I) went for a bike ride. It was a nice, cool day and started to rain soon after we’d left. When we got back Adam said, “I wanna do dat gain.” We took a trip to town for chili powder. Soon after coming back it started raining very hard. The boys went in the tent with Kenzie. Adam said he was scared and soon came back into the camper. I did a 30 min run. Mom prepared chili for dinner. We took a walk while the boys rode their bikes. Jacob got stuck in a big mud puddle. Mom and Kenzie went putt putt golfing. Vikki lay down with Adam for a nap and they slept until 4:30. Jacob colored while Nana and Kenzie played a game of dice. Then Mom, Kenzie, Jacob, and I took a bike ride to the camp store. Adam and Vikki woke up soon after we got back. We ate yummy chili for dinner. Jared got there around 6:45pm. He also brought Truman. Mom, Jared, the boys, and I went putt putt golfing. Adam would hit the ball and then usually he'd carry it to the hole. Jacob liked hitting his ball until he got it in the hole. He was very excited when he’d get it in. We then had fun in the heated outdoor pool until 9pm. The boys love the water and did great. Jacob swam around using the swimmies and a water noodle. He said, “Tomorrow I’m gonna swim without the noodle.” Adam slipped and fell off the edge into the water. We took a late night walk before getting ready for bed. We were in bed around 10:45.
