I lay down for awhile after finishing my exercises this morning. Soon Jacob came and cuddled with me. We got up at 9:00 and Adam was up soon after that. They played with moon sand a little even before breakfast. During breakfast we watched a Clifford video. Then the boys went back to playing with the moon sand. Fedex delivered a package. The boys liked seeing Daddy’s new tool (for working 10 years at Dow). They had lots of fun playing in the box that it came in. It was used to wrap up things, like pillows or Adam. Then they pretended it was a jeep as they sat in it and drove to the fair. We pretended to be riding on the ferris wheel. Then Jacob jumped out and said, “I got my parrot-chute on.” They also pretended the box was an airplane. After lunch the boys made a train to play on and asked me to join them. Jacob made Adam a comfy spot on the train. He tipped the small table and put it in the box. Then he added Adam’s favorite blankets, stuffed animals, and some books. At 1:30 I did my afternoon run. Then I packed things up for a trip to town. My Grandpa (who is 92) is having hip replacement surgery today. We left around 3pm and I took the boys over to Vikki’s house. They were excited to go there. I went to the hospital to visit with Mom while we waited. Kenzie watched the boys for a couple hours so Vikki could come too. We took a walk through the gift shop. After Jared got out of work he also came to the hospital. We had a nice time visiting. Jared left around 6pm as he had to get home for his online class. Around 7pm they came to tell us that Grandpa was in recovery. Soon after that my cousin Sara, her husband Brian, and my Aunt Jodi were there. The doctor came to tell us that the surgery went well and also said they reattached some muscle that had torn away. We visited in the room until they brought Grandpa in. He woke up only briefly. We left shortly after 8pm. As we were leaving Vikki’s house Adam said to her, “I want you to come with us, pleeaase?” I was very hungry so stopped at Taco Bell for something before going home. Got home around 10pm. Both boys continued sleeping as we moved them to their beds.
