I got up at 6am. Jacob was up shortly before 8:00 soon followed by Adam. After breakfast we watched a Clifford video. Then the boys played with automoblox on the car mat. We went outside for a little while. Jacob helped me pick veggies from the garden. While we were feeding carrots to the horses we saw 3 Chinook helicopters flying over our neighbor’s property. We came in and the boys drew on paper using markers. Then they went back to playing with the automoblox. While watching the Raffi video the boys played their instruments. After lunch the Jacob and Adam made a house. They put toys and cars around to make the walls of their house. Adam asked, “You wanna come in my house?” As the boys rode around on their cars Jacob would say, “Red light (they'd stop) or Green light (they'd go).” I made a tent for the boys in Adam’s crib. They pretended I was locking them in jail. We called Papa and the boys helped me sing Happy Birthday to him. Shortly after 2:00 we read books and I tucked Adam in for a nap. Jacob and I played in his bedroom and then I did my 30 min run. We went outside for a little while. It was a rainy evening. Jared got home around 4:30. He had us laughing as he walked around with the tunnel over his head. He was “eating” things and then spitting them back out. Adam woke up and joined in on the fun. He kept begging for Daddy to get him over and over. The boys got out the foam blocks to play with until dinner was ready. After dinner Jared played some Mario Kart. Jacob typed on the computer. He likes to change the color and always reads to me what it is he's typed. Much of the evening was spent playing with playdoh or foam blocks and little people. Adam stuck the Stars hockey stick in the couch and pretended it was the stick shift in his car as we drove to the fair. He did great on the potty today and only had 2 accidents (he got 6 stickers on his chart). Daddy had the boys laughing as he used the Grover puppet. The boys were tucked in bed shortly after 9:00. Jacob wanted to sleep with his friends (Sock and Grover puppet.)

Good job Adam on the potty training. You are such a good boy.
We love you!!!
Sounds like fun at your house. Cute how Jacob wanted to sleep with his friends.
last comment was from me. I goofed.
Is public preschool (K-4) compulsory in Michigan? The day you described (as many days you have described) are the kinds of days that used to be typical of a preschool experience and that was so good for children's overall development. Over the years, with the advent of high stakes testing, preschool life has changed dramatically. Jacob has an excellent educative environment right where he is. If it is not compulsory and if he will be spending hours sitting at tables with worksheets, please consider keeping him at home. This is a biased plea by someone who is not overjoyed with the shift in American educational values.
