Day 4

Pebble Beach.

Windy at the Great Sand Bay.

Jared and I were up at 8:30 and the boys slept until 9:30. Jacob sounded very sleepy as he called for me. He sat up quickly with a huge smile when I mentioned we were going to have pancakes at Grandma's. After breakfast we took a walk around the campground. Grandma came with us but Jacob stayed with Grandpa. Jared found a caterpillar and Jacob put it in his bug container. We took the boys to play at the camp playground. Its a small playground (swingset and slide) but the boys enjoy it just as much at the bigger playground. Jacob showed Grandma how he pumps his legs while swinging. We walked over to Pebble beach and enjoyed some time there. We picked some blueberries for Grandpa. After lunch we took a walk. Around 2pm I lay down with Adam for a nap. I was really tired and slept for an hour. Adam woke up at 4:30. Jared started a fire. We played a couple games of dice. The boys like pulling their strollers behind them to haul things around. After dinner we took a drive to the Great Sand Bay. It was ~60 degrees and very windy. We got out to watch the waves in Lake Superior. There were some kids swimming in the cold water. Before going back to camp we stopped at the Berry Patch for some ice cream cones. When we parked the van at our site Adam said, "I wanna walk down to Grandma's site." We took a walk around the campground. Went to bed around 9:45.

No wonder Mommy needed a nap! You all certainly keep going! Here, there, back here, then there again!

The picture of Jacob and Jared by the Lake with all the waves coming in is beautiful. I'm glad I got to try some of grandma's pancakes. Jacob is right...they are the best pancakes in the world!

Great pictures. Beautiful one of Jared and Jacob on the beach looking out at the water and all the waves. Also love the one of Jared and the boys on Pebble Beach.
