Day 15

Adam eating Grandpa's pop tart - grrrrrr!

"Mommy look at this."

Jacob looking for our home thru his binoculars.

Jared and I started packing at 7:30am. The boys woke up and played in the tent while I packed things in there. It was a misting rainy morning. Jacob went down with Grandma to their site. Adam kept asking to go there too but when I took him he just wanted to come back with me. Around 9:00 everything was packed. We ate Grandma's pancakes for breakfast. After Adam was buckled in his car seat he told Grandma, "I want you to come to my house." Jacob had fun with playdoh. Adam drew on the doodle pro and also played with some playdoh. He fell asleep and slept until we woke him for lunch in Marquette ~12:30. Here we usually eat at Fazoli's but they've gone out of buisness. We ate a Culver's. The food was good and it was nice to get out and stretch. The boys never complained on the entire car ride. They kept entertained with playdoh, Doodle Pro/Pixter, and view masters. Jacob also had fun with his magnetic construction set. We got out to stretch for a little while after we crossed the Machinaw Bridge. Jacob really loved seeing the bridge from the beach. The boys had fun climbing on the rocks. We stopped at a restaurant in Machinaw City and bought some pasties (chicken and beef) for dinner this evening. We got home at 8:00. After checking on the animals we ate a late dinner. While Jared was outside he came very close to the fox which was behind our chicken coop. The rest of the evening was spent unpacking. The boys sure had fun playing with their toys they haven't seen in a couple weeks. They were tucked in bed by ~10pm.

Well, the vacation stories are ended and Kimmy has cleverly tied the end of the vacation into Jared's shooting tale, which has been sitting up there at the head of the blog for days and days. I am eager to read about life at home again. I hear there are some puppet tales to be told . . .

Hey, I sure can't wait to see you all tomorrow. I miss you guys. It's been a while since we've seen each other. Just a couple days ago, Hailey said "Why haven't we seen Jacob and Adam in a while?" Well, see you at the fair tomorrow.

Boo Hoo...the vacation is over. What a wonderful two weeks. It just couldn't have been better. Spoke to soon. We need the Eric family one of these years as well. Now...I'm waiting to hear about your fair experience. I'm hoping to get day three of the State fair under my belt. It's another free day.
