Day 7

While Jared walked Truman this morning he spoted at pileated woodpecker up in the tree above them. He came to get us and we walked back to see it. Jared also told Grandma and Grandpa so they could come and see it. While watching the one we spotted another. After a pancake breakfast we took a walk around the campground. We found 2 full bundles of wood. Around 10:00 we packed up and took the canoe over to Lake Medora. Our paddle around this lake was so much fun. The boys brought sticks and liked putting them in the water as we moved along. The lake lead to a stream which we took until it ended. This lake has a few small islands. We got off at the smallest island and ate a packed lunch there. Truman went for a swim and the boys liked watching him. Before going back to camp we stopped to visit Grandma at Dennis's shop. We also walked to the Laughing Loon store. Back at camp we took a walk to the Fort store for some ice. Daddy surprised the boys with orange push ups (which Jacob's been asking for). Jacob was very excited and clapped his hands. As Adam licked his he said, "Umm, I like dis." There was a group of foreign exchage students spending the day in the campsite next to ours. We got nervous when they began target practicing with a bow and arrows. Their stray arrows were going across the road. The ranger came down and asked them to stop. Jared built a fire and we played some dice until dinnertime. After dinner we took a walk with Grandma around the campground. Then we walked over to Pebble beach. The boys laughed at Truman chasing sticks in the water and shaking off when he came out. This evening Grandma and Grandpa came over and sat by the fire with us. We made smores. Around 9pm Adam was asking to go to bed so I tucked him in. We were in bed by 10:00.

Jacob may be eating too many of grandma's yummy pancakes. His tummy looks like its growing in that picture. The pictures are beautiful from your trip.

Love that picture of Adam laying down and the one of him on the bench. And love the one of Jacob laying in the rocks. The third picture down of both boys together is very cute too. Love Jacob's expression and cute belly:). Love ya!
